January 1, 2026 ACEIRT™ Fusion release notes covering voicemail fallback for inbound calls without an assigned destination.
January 1, 2026 release notes
ACEIRT™ Fusion now routes inbound calls to voicemail when no forwarding destination or assigned user is available.
What changed
ACEIRT™ Fusion added a new inbound-call handling path for numbers that do not have an assigned forwarding destination or user. Instead of leaving those calls without a clear destination, the system now sends them to voicemail.
How it works
When an inbound call reaches a number without an assigned route, ACEIRT™ Fusion uses the voicemail fallback path. The call follows the same general inbound handling flow, but it resolves to voicemail rather than stopping at an unassigned destination.
Impact on users
Callers are less likely to hit an unmanaged dead end when they dial a number that has not been assigned. If voicemail is enabled for that number, the caller can leave a message instead of encountering an unresolved call path.
Admin review items
Review numbers that still rely on implicit routing and confirm they have the intended voicemail setup. Check assigned users and forwarding destinations for any lines that should continue routing to a person or team instead of voicemail.
