March 18, 2026 release notes for ACEIRT Fusion, covering voicemail fallback when an inbound call has no forwarding destination.
March 18, 2026 release notes
This release routes inbound calls to voicemail when a number has no assigned user or forwarding number.
Release context
The March 18, 2026 update keeps inbound calls from dropping when no forwarding path exists. Instead, calls go to voicemail.
What's new
Inbound calls now fall back to voicemail if the number does not have an assigned user or forwarding number.
Behavior details
When a call reaches a number without forwarding, the system sends the caller to voicemail rather than leaving the call without a destination. This behavior applies when no user assignment and no forwarding number are available.
If a forwarding number exists, the call follows the configured forwarding path instead of voicemail.
How to verify
Place a test call to a number that does not have a user assignment or forwarding number.
- Confirm the call reaches voicemail instead of stopping without a destination.
- Check that the voicemail greeting or message plays as expected.
- Repeat the test on a number with forwarding configured to confirm normal forwarding still works.
Why it matters
Voicemail fallback gives callers a clear destination when a number is not fully configured. That reduces missed calls and avoids dead-end call flows.
ACEIRT™ Fusion now handles this case automatically, so numbers without forwarding still receive calls in a usable way.
