Social Planner - External Approval Flow with Magic Links!

Use magic links in ACEIRT™ Fusion Social Planner to send clients secure approval requests, collect feedback, and track every action in an audit log.

Use Social Planner magic links to share posts that need approval, protect access with a password, let clients approve or deny with notes, and track every action in a central audit log.

Use external approval flows with magic links to let clients review and approve scheduled social posts without logging into ACEIRT™ Fusion as full users.

What is new

The Social Planner now supports an external approval flow powered by magic links. This helps you get client sign-off on scheduled posts without adding them to your ACEIRT™ Fusion workspace.

Key capabilities:

  • Generate a shareable magic link for posts that need approval.
  • Protect each link with a password that you auto-generate or set manually.
  • Send links by text or email so clients can review posts in context.
  • Let clients approve, deny, and leave notes on posts, including an option to approve all quickly.
  • See all generated links in one place for easy tracking.
  • Use an audit log to confirm whether clients received the link, opened it, and approved posts.

How the external approval flow works

The external approval flow connects your internal planning process to a lightweight client review experience.

When you have social posts that require sign-off, you generate a magic link tied to those posts. You secure the link with either an automatically generated password or a password you choose. You then share the link and password with your client via text or email.

The client opens the link, logs in using the information you provided, and sees only the posts that need their attention. From there, they can approve or deny each post, leave notes for revisions, or quickly approve all posts in the set when everything looks good.

On your side, you can find all previously created approval links together in one place. The connected audit log records the lifecycle of each link so you know whether the client received it, opened it, and completed approvals.

Audit log: what you can verify

The audit log gives you a clear record of client activity related to each magic link.

You can verify:

  • Delivery status: whether the client got the link you sent.
  • Engagement: whether they opened the link.
  • Decision history: whether they approved posts, denied them, or completed an approve-all action.

Use this information to follow up with clients who have not opened their link yet, confirm that approvals were completed, and keep an accurate record of who signed off on which posts.

How to use the external approval flow

Use this high-level sequence to run an external approval cycle with your client.

Select posts that need approval

Choose the social posts in Social Planner that require client sign-off before they go live. Group posts logically, such as by campaign, date range, or platform, so each magic link represents a clear review package for your client.

Generate a magic link and password

Use the external approval option to create a shareable magic link for the selected posts. When prompted for security, choose whether to have ACEIRT™ Fusion auto-generate a password or set a custom password that you define.

Share the link with your client

Send the magic link and its password to your client via text or email. Make it clear which posts or campaign the link covers so they understand what they are reviewing.

Client logs in and reviews posts

Your client opens the link, logs in with the provided details, and sees the posts that need approval. They can approve or deny individual posts, leave notes with feedback or requested edits, or quickly approve all posts when everything is ready to go.

Monitor links and audit activity

Return to the area where you manage external approval links to see all generated links in one spot. Use the audit log attached to each link to confirm whether the client received the link, opened it, and completed approvals so you know when to finalize and schedule posts.

Notes and best practices

  • Group posts thoughtfully: Create magic links around clear themes or timeframes so reviews stay focused and quick.
  • Agree on passwords in advance: When setting a custom password, share it in a channel your client already trusts to reduce confusion.
  • Use notes to capture context: Encourage clients to leave notes when they deny a post so your team understands exactly what to change.
  • Check the audit log before following up: Look at whether the client opened the link before sending reminders, so your outreach is timely and relevant.
